On a flatbed, your vehicle is winched up onto the deck and strapped down, so none of its wheels touch the road. It’s the safest way to move a car that’s broken down, damaged, or simply one you don’t want towed on its wheels.
Most of our everyday calls in Pictou County are flatbed tows: a car that won’t start in the driveway, a breakdown on the highway, or a vehicle that needs to get to the mechanic or the dealer.
When a flatbed is the right call
- All-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive vehicles
- Lowered cars and anything with little ground clearance
- Vehicles with damaged wheels, axles or steering
- Classic and collector cars
What to tell us when you call
- Where the vehicle is, as exactly as you can
- Where you want it to go
- The make and model, and whether it rolls and steers
If you’re stopped on the side of a highway, turn on your hazard lights and keep well away from traffic while you wait.
Where we go
